Pastors Musings

Wednesday May 7, 2025

Grace and Peace to You,
We have had plenty of rain the past few weeks. I have not checked the rain
gauge, but I am sure it is filled to some extent. Too bad we can’t simply
keep this extra rain for later, I am sure we could use it is July and August to
help us through our summer dry spell.

This Sunday is Mother’s Day and I am sure you have already thought about
a special card or have already set a reminder to send a Happy Mother’s Day
text, or maybe a call. I always found Mother’s Day the hardest holiday to
celebrate because it was always difficult, at least for me, how much you love
your mom. There are Mother’s Day poems, Love songs written for moms, all
kinds of gifts or flowers, but if you want to personalize the gift or the card,
sometimes it is a challenge. I hope that you can find the right words or the
right way to celebrate Mother’s Day and to let them know how much you
love them.

Next week Enid Public school is out, the last day is Thursday May 15. I know
students are excited and teachers are trying to finish last assignments,
grade papers and tests, and put on final grades. I believe graduation is that
night as well.

I hope you enjoy the rest of the week. Why not invite a friend or neighbor to
church? We have a lot going on and we may be just what they are looking
for.

I will see you Sunday,
Pastor Ronnie

Dear friends,
As many of you know, I go to Jamaica on a mission trip every year. I will be going again July 5th through 12th and I could use your help. This year I will be collecting used, extra large suit cases, school supplies (paper, pencils, crayons, spiral notebooks, glue, scissors, etc.) and of course monetary donations. I'm willing to work for donations, so let me know if you have a small job that needs done. Thanks for your help once again.
