GREAT TIMES AHEAD

Hello Central Family,
Wendy and I are very excited to be a part of this family.  There are many exciting things going on in the coming month.  The young adults will meet at 6:00 on Friday January 7th to leave for Tulsa for the young adult retreat at camp Christian.  We will return around 4:00 on Sunday.  This will be a great weekend for getting to know each other.  The following weekend the CYF will head to Guthrie for Mid-Winter 2005.   Those dates are Friday January 14th through Sunday January 16th.   In February the Chi Rho will attend their mid-winter.  Those dates are February 11-13 (more details to come).  We will also have a rock-a-thon in February.  Once again I am looking forward to growing with the Central family.  May God bless you and your family.

WE NEED $60.00

The JYF children voted Sunday morning to use their Sunday School offering this month for relief work in southeast Asia.  We set a goal of $60.00 offering for January.  For our 18 kids to make that goal each of them will need to bring one dollar every single week.  And, if possible, they could bring two or three dollars each week.  You KNOW how important this is for those people as they try to rebuild their lives.  But, it's even more important for your kids to learn what it's like to help people they haven't and never will meet, people of a different faith and of a different culture.  Please, please, please remember to send your children with their offering.  If we make our $60.00 goal, we will have a rice and fish meal to celebrate our accomplishment and will have clothing similar to what Asians wear for the kids so they can get the full measure of what it means to help others.  And, don't forget, we have to support Tenzin Tsultrim, our boy in India, so continue sending that offering, as well.  $.65 per child will be sufficient for that.  The kids can't do it without you.  Hear this call to help train our children up in the way they should go!
