   On Monday, November 15, the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Oklahoma submitted a bid of $9,250,000. to purchase the Oklahoma Christian Retirement Community, Edmond.  This was made possible by the dedicated efforts of scores of individuals and several Oklahoma congregations who, in less than two weeks, contributed in loans and gifts $1,671,521. so that the regional church would have the necessary 10% escrow deposit to accompany the bid paperwork.
   The Acquisition Committee, comprised of Clarice Morrison, John McLemore, Tom Jewell, Parker Cross, Kyle Maxwell, and Bernie McNickle, Chair, has received long-term financing commitments from Harry Mortgage Company, OKC/Tulsa and Church Extension, Indianapolis.  We are now waiting to learn if our bid will be accepted as the best bid.  We should know this within the next several days.  Please continue to pray for the residents of OCRC and our efforts to keep it in the Oklahoma Disciples family.
