Are you looking for the perfect gift for someone you care about, this Christmas? Let me suggest the gift of Jesus Christ.
   This month will be filled with wonderful opportunities to invite family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, and other people you care about, to come to church. During the Christmas season, people are thinking of Jesus and the church anyway. Some of our fun and special events might be just the ticket to help them to begin a new relationship with Jesus and His church.
  Last Sunday's Hanging of the Green and Tasting party were a good start, but we have many other events coming this month for you to consider inviting someone:
Dec. 8 - Choir Cantata,  Children's Christmas Program, "The Great Debate"
Dec. 12-13 - The Choir & Ensemble Christmas Show/fundraiser
Dec 15 - Meet the Pastor, at McLemores' Open House
Saturdays at 5:30 p.m. The new Saturday Evening Worship Service
Dec. 22 - All Church Caroling, Spirit Moves Program
Dec. 24 - Christmas Eve Services: 7:00 families,  11:00 Candlelight Communion Service
Dec. 31 - New Year's in Rio
   Great things are happening at Central Christian Church. I don't think that God is working this hard, just to entertain us. I think that God is creating in us, an opportunity for his other children to come home for Christmas, home to Jesus and His church.

   The church is God's gift to his people. It won't continue to be a gift, if we don't give it away. Why not give the gift of Jesus this Christmas?
