   Thank you all so very much for the cards, calls, and visits to mom during her long hospital stay.
   We also want to send a very special thank you to Rev. McLemore and Rev. Arensman for such a beautiful service and for everyone who helped with the luncheon.  Everyone's love and support was so appreciated during this difficult time.

   In his highly acclaimed portrayal of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Dr. Alfred E. Staggs brings the life of one of the great heroes of the twentieth century to stage.  The audience is brought into the prison cell where Bonhoeffer awaits execution and listens to his struggles with evil, injustice, and God, his involvement in the German resistance movement, a commitment that would result in his being executed by hanging on April 9, 1945.
   "A View From the Underside:  The Legacy of Dietrich Bonhoeffer" will be performed live Saturday, November 1, at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, November 2, at 3:00 p.m., at University Place Christian Church, 2107 E. Broadway.  A $10 donation is requested.
   Please call Central Christian Church if you would like to attend one of the performances and ride the church van.  Child care will be provided by reservation only.

   We've only had small response to Kids Central need of supplies for the upcoming year.  Central Christian Church is so well known for its generosity, so, I know people have just been busy and haven't yet had time to make a donation.  So, let's get busy and donate supplies and plenty of them.  Just leave donations outside of Carolyn's office.  Needs include:  Glitter of all kinds; large bottles of water colors (primary colors;  school glue; moveable eyes of any size; red and green construction paper.  Let's get busy and fill this need.  Thanks for your help.
