Halloween Howl will be on Friday, Oct. 31^st this year from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  Get your costumes ready, your game playing ready, and your fun meter ready 'cuz WE'RE GOING TO HAVE A BLAST at H.H.  Sign up sheets will be in classes Sunday, parents you'll need to sign up to help.  We'll have a costume parade and contest.  We'll also have a pumpkin decoration contest.  (If anyone would like to donate small or medium pumpkins, please drop them off at the church office.)  There will be loads of games and lots of fun and prizes so be there or be square!!!!!

   Well, Jane Adams and her grandson Johnny outdid themselves again with the new fall and Halloween display in the windows of the Children's Library.  If you haven't stopped by to take a look, do so and be sure to say thanks to Jane when you see her.  (And, no, OSU fans, the colors chosen are NOT in honor of your alma mater!!!!!)  Big grin!!

   First, we finished our "Feeding the 5000" rotation two weeks ago and have a lot of people to thank for their participation in teaching and leading our kids through the idea of that miracle and helping them know what it means in their lives.   Teachers were:  Barbara Baker and Gail Novak (Cooking);  Pierce Jones (HolyWord Video);  Mary Johnson (Geography);  Laurie Bushman and Janice Stout (Creation Station);  Nancy Hohmann (GodSpeak storytelling);  and, Becky Meyer (Mary and Martha's Bed and Breakfast).  Second, we want to thank all of those wonderful souls who lead our Children's Church for the last rotation.  They were:  Brent and Laura Lang, Becky Meyer, Lois Tilley, and Cheryl Sargeant.  Third, we want to thank those who have been working with our kids on Wednesdays.  They are:  Becky Meyer (CCF), Gail Novak (sub for JYF), Janet Jones (staff person for JYF choir), and Becky Meyer (staff person for JYF Bells).  God's blessings on all of these wonderful people for their fantastic sense of stewardship in helping to grow children into the faith.  Our Lord and Savior is proud of all you do.
